🔧 IWD-16 Crimping Tool
Professional tool developed for precise crimping of closed-barrel terminals onto small and medium-gauge electrical conductors.
🧰 What it's Used For
The IWD-16 is used to crimp (compress) closed-barrel terminals — also known as tube or compression terminals — onto automotive, industrial, and agricultural machinery electrical cables.
It ensures a firm electrical connection, without the need for soldering, with excellent current conduction and mechanical resistance.
⚙️ Main Features
Wire compatibility: 14, 16 and 18 AWG (1.5 mm² to 2.5 mm²)
Hole opening: 3.9 mm
Total length: 165 mm
Cable width: 75 mm
Robust body: made of treated steel, with internal spring return lever
Ergonomic handles: coated in non-slip material, offering comfort and firmness during use
Pressure adjustment: force selector with 7 levels for adjustment according to the type of terminal
📘 How to Use
Strip the wire to the appropriate length, without damaging the copper filaments.
Insert the wire into the closed barrel terminal until the end.
Place the terminal in the crimping tool housing, respecting the side indicated on the tool.
Press the cable firmly until the crimping cycle is complete.
Check the locking and securing of the terminal before applying it to the harness.
💡 Technical Tip
For best performance, keep the crimping tool clean and lubricated in the shaft area. Correct pressure adjustment ensures consistent crimps and prevents damage to the terminal.
